The Quality Day, a real success!
On the 15th of September, at the Palais des Colonies in Tervuren, Belgium the Quality Day gathered nearly 200 guests from all sectors of the food industry.
This year, the topic of the day was food fraud. During the evening, various speakers presented their views on the issue. Mr Geert de Poorter (Directorate-General Quality and Safety, FPS Economy, S.M.E.s, Self-employed and Energy) spoke on behalf of the government, Mr Jan Eylenbosh (Févia President) presented the food industry’s point of view, while Dr David Baker (Global Technical Director Consulting and Technical Services NSF International) and Mr Mounir Mahjoub (Vice President B2B, NSF Euro Consultants) spoke for the NSF Euro Consultants.
They outlined various procedures and tools to fight this new nuisance, which blends economics and public health…
The conference was followed by a lively walking dinner. Clearly, our Quality Day has become an essential meeting point for many key actors of the food industry. One question remains: will this year’s premises be big enough for next year’s edition?
